Having already worked with some of the biggest artists in the world, John Goodier aka Clear Six is stepping out from behind the scenes in 2016. His unique ability to seamlessly fuse electronic elements with live instrumentation delivers a signature sound that is equally effective both on and off the dance floor.
Hailing from a small town on the outskirts of Manchester in the North of England, Goodier was fascinated by music from an early age playing drums with the local marching band and digging through his mother’s Motown & Disco collection. He later became immersed in electronic music through his discovery of the soulful House sounds of artists such as Joey Negro & Masters At Work, subsequently going on to DJ and working on his own productions.
Dedicated to furthering his creative skills, he went on to study a Music Production degree at the University of Huddersfield where he gained invaluable knowledge working on projects across multiple genres.
His commitment and hard work soon paid off as he landed himself a major publishing deal and started producing for superstar artists from across the globe. Fast forward to 2016 and Clear Six is gearing up for his first release as an artist this summer on Get Twisted/Sony Records, aptly named ’Sunshine’. He recently uploaded his song ‘Light It Up’ to SoundCloud which has already amassed over 140k spins, been made ‘Track Of The Week’ on Spinnin’ Records, reached Number 1 on the Spinnin’ Nu Disco chart and is due for official release on Tileyard Music later this year. His remix of Tough Love’s new single ‘Touch’ is out on Island Records in May.
